Ride like the city's yours.

Safety gear shouldn't look like safety gear. It should look like you.

Who we are

A homegrown motorcycling apparel label, built by riders for riders. We're here because India's motorcycling community is growing fast — and the gear protecting it hasn't caught up. So we're building what we wished existed when we started riding: safety apparel that looks like the rest of your wardrobe, and performs like the gear you need on the road.

Why we exist

Every day, lakhs of young riders in India leave home without proper riding gear. Not because they don't care. Because the gear they're offered looks like it belongs on a racetrack — or a construction site. Bulky. Unbreathable. Awkward on a date, weird at a meeting, impossible on a humid afternoon in traffic.

So they ride in regular jeans and a t-shirt, and hope for the best.

We didn't think that was a fair choice to ask anyone to make.

What we build

Motorcycling quickwear.

Gear that's as easy to pull on as the jeans you already own. As easy to live in as your favourite jacket. But engineered — quietly, seriously — for the two-wheeled life.

No racing-stripe theatrics. No tactical overkill. Just motorcycle-grade construction hidden inside silhouettes you'd actually want to wear off the bike.

That's the whole idea: safety gear that doesn't ask you to dress like a different person to wear it.

Our philosophy

If you won't wear it, it doesn't protect you.

This is the line everything at Silverback gets measured against.

A CE Level 2 armour pad doesn't save your knee if it's sitting in your cupboard because the pants are too hot for Mumbai in May. A triple-stitched denim doesn't do its job if you'd rather not be seen in it.

So we obsess over the unsexy stuff — airflow, moisture-wicking, fit, weight, the way armour slides in without a ten-minute wrestle. Because easy is what gets worn. And worn is what protects.

Built for here

Designed in India. For Indian roads.

The riding gear market was built for European winters and American highways. We're not on those roads. We're threading through Delhi in August, zipping through Bangalore showers, parking in Pune basements that smell like diesel.

Every Silverback piece is built around what this actually demands: airflow for 40°C afternoons, quick-dry for monsoon commutes, heat dissipation where your body runs hottest. Indian weather isn't an edge case for us. It's the brief.

A note from the team

We started Silverback because we got tired of the two choices on offer: look like a track-day professional, or ride with no protection at all. Neither of those is who we are. Neither, we figured, is who you are.

We're a small team. We ride the same roads you do. We get stuck in the same traffic, sweat through the same summers, worry about the same families. Every piece we put out is something we've worn ourselves, in Indian conditions, before we'd ask anyone else to.

If you've ever flinched past a close call on your commute — we're building this for you. If you've ever skipped the gear because it didn't feel like you — we're building this for you too.

Ride safe. Ride yours.

— The Silverback Team

What you mean to us

You're not a customer. You're the brief.

Every note you send us, every piece of feedback, every "hey, could this be a little longer in the torso" — it goes straight into the next version.

We're not a mass brand. We're never going to be. We'd rather know the name of the person riding a Silverback than hit a thousand shipments we can't stand behind.

If you're wearing one of ours, you're part of how the next one gets made.

The gear is ready. The road is waiting.
